2017 BPC Review

2017 Youth Camp:

Empowered!  Not only was that the official theme for Bowman Park Youth Camp 2017, but it represents perfectly God’s work throughout that week and throughout the lives of those who took part.  We were so blessed and empowered with a great group of kids, an amazing staff, the powerful messages of Pastor Steve Rau, and a fun and exciting week.

The things we can count include 58 students who attended youth camp, 2 teens who gave their lives to Christ for the first time, and several others who recommitted themselves to their life journey with the Lord.  The things we can’t put in numbers include countless times of sharing, laughs, memories, activities, fun, and great food.  Thanks to each person who helped make it all possible.  Put it all together and you have one week of amazing power and impact from on High.

2017 Children’s Camp:

Campers and staff had a wonderful time learning about the parables Jesus taught in the Bible. The six campers and staff shared time for crafts, a nature walk, relay races and a variety of other activities. The children were thrilled with the stations and prizes offered during Fair Day as well as the pinata, peanut scramble and water games on picnic day. Each evening campers and staff had a yummy snack followed by a special time of praise and worship. This closing to each day was truly a blessing for everyone. Much thanks to the dedicated staff, campers and parents.

2017 Junior Camp:

Jedis for Jesus came home from Junior Camp this year with their armor on! (Ephesians 6:10-20)  Throughout the week students received sword training (Bible) where they learned to battle the dark world.  Additionally, campers worked on crafts, participated in services through human videos and animated worship, and even swam in the waters at Mauch Chunk. David Brady served as evangelist and the Force (Holy Spirit) was indeed present.  Hearts were pierced and about 18 campers knelt at the altar to make decisions for Jesus. Just a powerful week for all involved.
